Ford is recalling over 2000 examples of its previous (S550) generation Mustang as they could lose power unexpectedly.
“Due to a manufacturing defect, the fuel pump impeller may not operate as intended,” the company says in its recall notice.
“If this occurs, it could impair the fuel supply to the engine and result in a loss of motive power whilst driving.
“A loss of motive power whilst driving increases the risk of an accident, causing serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.”

If you own an affected vehicle, you’ll need to schedule an appointment with an authorised Ford dealer to have the vehicle rectified, free of charge.
