Ford Mustang recalled yet again, but this time only a handful of cars are impacted

The Ford Mustang has been recalled for the second time in two weeks, with the latest nationwide product safety recall impacting newer 2024 model-year versions.

“Due to a software issue, the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) may fail to illuminate the visual and audible warnings for seat belt, vehicle speed, fuel level, engine status and other critical safety information,” says Ford in its recall notice.

“A loss of safety system warnings whilst driving, could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants, other road users and bystanders.”

A recall impacting 24,476 examples of the previous S550-generation Mustang was issued October 10, while the current (S650-series) Mustang was recalled twice in September 2025.

The first issue on September 1 affected a handful of vehicles – along with its Mustang Mach-E electric SUV – but the later September 23 recall impacted 7222 examples of the S650 made between 2022-2025.

If you own an affected vehicle, you’ll need to schedule an appointment with an authorised Ford dealer to have the vehicle rectified, free of charge.
