The Ford Mustang Mach-E electric SUV has been recalled again, but this time the issue doesn’t concern the operation of the vehicle, but a non-compliant fuel consumption sticker.
It is the fifth time the slow-selling Mach-E has been recalled in Australia, and the fourth time in 2025 alone.
“There is no safety hazard associated with this recall and the defect will not affect the performance of the vehicle,” says Ford in its recall notice.
“Vehicles are not compliant with Australian Design Rule 81/02; Fuel Consumption Labelling for Light Vehicles.”

The latest Mach-E recall follows a nationwide product safety recall in September 2025 impacting 452 vehicles due to potential lighting faults, which also included examples of the Mustang sports car.
The Mach-E was also subject to a recall in July 2025 impacting 1234 vehicles due to a potential software issue affecting the operation of door locks, with two further Mach-E recalls earlier this year impacting a range of Ford models, with 29,874 vehicles caught up including the Mustang, F-150, Ranger, and Everest.
If you own an affected vehicle, you’ll need to schedule an appointment with an authorised Ford dealer to have the vehicle rectified, free of charge.
