Toyota is preparing dealerships across North America for shortages of motor oil used to service its cars.
Oil supply disruptions caused by the conflict in Iran have led to the shortfall, with The Drive reporting several major auto parts stores also being affected.

“There is no supply issue at this stage, but we are closely monitoring the situation,” a spokesperson for Toyota Australia told CarExpert this week.

News outlet CNN reports wholesale motor oil prices are continuing to increase, with analysts warning of ongoing shortages across the industry.
“We’re looking at shortages – I have no doubt in my mind,” Independent Lubricant Manufacturers Association CEO Holly Alfano told CNN.
“It’s a big mess – and it’s not going to be resolved quickly. It could take a year or so before we see any real relief.”
It’s believed production and logistics troubles in the Middle East are causing the shortage of both Shell and ExxonMobil products across North America, with Costco, Walmart, AutoZone, and other major retailers also impacted.
