2026 Skoda Kodiaq price and specs: RS flagship returns

Months after Skoda launched its updated Kodiaq SUV, the hotted-up, flagship RS trim has rejoined the range and will be available from November 2025.

The 2026 Skoda Kodiaq RS becomes the third member of the new-generation Kodiaq lineup in Australia, joining the Style and Sportline trims which both continue to run a standard 140kW 2.0-litre turbo-four with all-wheel drive.

Like the previous generation, the RS also features a 2.0-litre turbo-four, but now with 195kW of power and 400Nm of torque. This is up from 180kW and 370Nm previously, shaving 0.3 seconds off its claimed 0-100km/h time for an improved 6.3-second sprint.

The arrival of the RS pushes the Kodiaq’s top-end price to $69,990 before on-roads, or $76,990 drive-away. That’s just $100 more expensive than the previous-generation model, despite being it being larger and more powerful.

Inside the RS you’ll find sports seats similar to those in the Kodiaq Sportline, albeit upholstered in premium black leather and finished with red stitching. A flat-bottom, perforated leather steering wheel is also standard, while the Volkswagen Group’s advanced Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) adaptive suspension is fitted as standard.

This joins the Group’s Progressive Steering setup, both of which were previously available as options on the Sportline. The rest of the Kodiaq lineup is unchanged for 2026, with the Select still opening the range at $56,990 drive-away.

Skoda Australia has confirmed that further variants will bolster the range in the first half of next year, with a new mild-hybrid entry variant to join the fold, as well as a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version.

Due to battery packaging constraints, the latter will introduce a five-seat layout for the Australian Kodiaq range, which has been exclusively offered here as a seven-seater previously. It’s unclear whether the 48V MHEV will provide the same.
