Australian Lotus distributor Simply Sports Cars has revealed the Lotus Emira Turbo Bathurst Edition, a limited-run version of the mid-engined sports coupe developed for local buyers.
The Bathurst Edition is limited to 15 units and is available to order now. Pricing starts at $249,990 before on-roadcosts, which positions it well above the regular four-cylinder Emira lineup.
Based on current Australian pricing, the Bathurst Edition is $50,000 more expensive than the $199,990 Emira Turbo and $40,000 dearer than the $209,990 Emira Turbo SE, before on-road costs.

Simply Sports Cars says the Bathurst Edition is based on the Emira Turbo, which uses a Mercedes-AMG-sourced 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine matched to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and rear-wheel drive.
In standard tune the Emira Turbo produces 268kW of power and 430Nm of torque, while the Turbo SE lifts this to 298kW of power and 480Nm of torque.
Lotus claims the Turbo SE can complete the 0-100km/h sprint in 4.0 seconds and reach 290km/h. Simply Sports Cars hasn’t published acceleration or top speed claims for the Bathurst Edition.
For the Bathurst Edition, Simply Sports Cars says it has retuned the AMG M139 engine for “more than 500hp (375kW)” and a “substantial” torque increase, though it hasn’t published a torque figure. This is a huge increase in performance and as far as we can tell, the highest state of tune ever offered for the AMG engine from a ‘factory’ offering.
The company says the package also includes a series of changes aimed at track use:
- Three-way adjustable dampers, revised wheel alignment, and a lower stance
- Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres as standard, with Yokohama A052 tyres optional
- AP Racing four-piston calipers front and rear with two-piece ventilated brake discs
Simply Sports Cars says the Emira Turbo Bathurst Edition retains the Emira’s double-wishbone suspension layout and adds a carbon-fibre aero kit comprising a front splitter and an Emira GT4-style rear wing. The wing endplates carry ‘turbo Emira’ branding in the supplied images.
Exterior changes also include Bathurst Edition decals and GT4-inspired livery, while an individually numbered build plate is fitted inside. Buyers can also choose their wheel colour.
The Bathurst Edition was unveiled at Simply Sports Cars’ Bathurst Lotus Only Track Day at Mount Panorama last week, where the car was displayed and completed demonstration laps. The company has been taking Lotus models to Bathurst events since 2005, and has previously run Lotus Exige entries in the Bathurst 12 Hour.
Each Bathurst Edition buyer also receives complimentary entry to the next Lotus Bathurst track day, which Simply Sports Cars says is scheduled for 2027.
The Emira sits in the same part of the market as mid-engined sports coupes such as the Porsche Cayman. Lotus has also offered the Emira with a Toyota-sourced 3.5-litre supercharged V6 producing 298kW of power.
In Australia, Emira sales totalled 138 units in 2024 and 60 in 2025, a drop of 56.5 per cent. Simply Sports Cars says 14 build slots of the Bathurst Edition remain, with the first car already sold.
