TheKia PV5 Cargowill be priced from $55,990 before on-road costs in Australia, making it the most affordable electric van on sale locally.
Offered initially in a single grade, the PV5 Cargo S Long Range is due in showrooms from late in May 2026, with additional variants to follow.
The sharp pricing undercuts the $61,990Peugeot e-Partner, while also coming in below the largerLDV eDeliver 7(from $69,463 before on-roads) and the similarly sizedVolkswagen ID. Buzz Cargo(from $69,990 before on-roads).
The PV5 also offers a claimed driving range of 416km (WLTP), placing it among the longest-range electric vans on sale in Australia. It sits just behind the ID. Buzz Cargo (431km), but ahead of the eDeliver 7 (up to 328km) andFord E-Transit Custom(up to 307km).

Measuring 4695mm long, 2255mm wide and 1899mm tall on a 2995mm wheelbase, the PV5 was recently named 2026 International Van of the Year.
It’s the first model under Kia’s new Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) strategy and is the brand’s first electric commercial vehicle. It also becomes just the second commercial model in Kia Australia’s current lineup, joining theKia Tasman.
The PV5 is also Kia Australia’s first cargo van since the Pregio was discontinued around 20 years ago.
Power comes from a single electric motor driving the front wheels, paired with a 71.2kWh nickel cobalt manganese (NCM) lithium-ion battery delivering the claimed 416km of WLTP range.
Overseas models support DC fast charging, with Kia claiming a 10 to 80 per cent top-up can be completed in around 30 minutes, equating to approximately 330km of driving range. Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability is also included.
The PV5 has also benefited from Kia Australia’s local ride and handling tuning.
Kia Australia is yet to confirm full local specifications, though the powertrain and range figures mirror UK-market versions. All UK-market PV5s produce 120kW of power and 250Nm of torque.
In the UK, the PV5 offers up to 4.4 cubic metres of cargo capacity — more than the ID. Buzz Cargo SWB’s 3.9 cubic metres — with space for two Euro pallets. Rear barn doors open to 180 degrees, and a low 419mm load height improves accessibility.
Inside, the cabin features a 7.5-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.9-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a 100W USB-C port.
UK models also include Kia Connected Services with over-the-air updates, real-time traffic and charging data, remote vehicle functions and a valet mode.
Standard driver assist features include blind-spot collision avoidance, navigation-based adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, lane centring with hands-on detection, and parking collision avoidance assist.
The PV5 Cargo S Long Range will be displayed at the 2026 Melbourne motor show from April 10–12.
