2025 Kia Tasman cab/chassis pricing confirmed

Kia Australia has confirmed pricing for cab/chassis versions of the new Tasman ute, following the local launch of pickup variants.

The Tasman single-cab/chassis range will open at $38,010 before on-road costs for the base S 4×2, the S 4×4 at $45,010 before on-roads, and the SX 4×4 will retail for $49,520 plus on-roads.

Two flavours of dual-cab/chassis will be sold – the S and SX – asking $48,240 and $52,740 before on-road costs, respectively.

At the bottom end of the Tasman range, the S single-cab/chassis is $3980 cheaper than the most affordable dual-cab pickup variant, while the SX dual-cab/chassis is $1750 less expensive than its pickup equivalent.

The two dual-cab/chassis variants will land in Australian showrooms this month, with single-cab/chassis models set to arrive later this year.

The Kia catalogue contains a range of tray options for cab/chassis Tasmans, in addition to more than 40 locally developed accessories.

With a starting price of just under $40k, the cab/chassis Tasman is dearer than base variants of the Toyota HiLux, Ford Ranger, and Isuzu D-Max – Australia’s three best-selling utes.

Highlights of the S and SX include LED headlights, 17-inch wheels, cloth interior upholstery, a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless smartphone mirroring, and a six-speaker sound system.

All Tasmans are powered by a 2.2-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine, producing 154kW of power and 440Nm. Power is sent to all four wheels (except S 4×2) through an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The entry-level S 4×4 dual-cab/chassis claims combined fuel consumption of 7.6L/100km and boasts a 3500kg braked towing capacity, while other key specs include a 6200kg Gross Combined Mass (GCM), 2123kg kerb weight and 1127kg payload, as well as 206mm of ground clearance.

The cab/chassis is 15mm shorter than the pickup at 5395mm long overall, but has the same width, height and of course wheelbase (3270mm).
